Proctas is based in Malaysia, a country that has played a key role in the development of the life science industry in the ASEAN region. Founded in 2016, Proctas aim to assemble the top experts in the industry to provide professional technical consultations, training and testing services, in combination with the most advance scentific instrumentations available, to cater to the needs of our customers. To achieve such ambitions, Proctas collaborate with leading experts and companies in both the public and private sectors to form a high quality and trusted team of advisors and laboratory testing services.

The Leader

Proctas is led by Dr. Tan Chor Teck who is an established expert and authority in the field of life science research and testing in Asia. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Ph.D. majoring in the field of Biochemistry and Immunology and completed advance research related to Type 1 Diabetes. Since then, Dr. Tan has accumulated more than 10 years of experience in the field of LC/MS analytical techniques and applications. One of his major achievements is in the development of halal testing for identification of Porcine gelatine using advance LC/MS technology.

Dr. Tan has since been actively consulting and training various regional halal-based researchers, laboratories and government bodies around the world. In his previous roles working for major analytical suppliers, SCIEX and Agilent, he has gained valuable experience and knowledge being involved in application training and development, R&D, manufacturing, service support and instruments sales.
